AMF connecion failed due to EOFException in DataInputStream.readUnsignedShort()

I had two applications running under the same apache server. I was using AMFConnection to communicate between both. After migrating the applications to run on it's own tomcat, my AMFConnection doesn't work.Does anyone know if the applications have to run on the same server in order for the AMFConnection to work?
