Why GetInvocationList() returns an array of Delegates instead of methods?

Maybe I do not really understand way of working of deleagates, and I would like to understand them well. There is a not obvious thing for me.

Why GetInvocationList() returns an array of Delegates instead of methods ? If Delegates(afaik delegates in c# multicast), contains methods(refs to methods), why GetInvokationList() returns an array of delegates ?
