Raytracing Reflections Disappearing

I'm currently building a Ray Tracer in C, and I'm trying to implement the my code for my reflections. Right now, I have no lights so it's only plain colors. Reflections are working (more or less). In my case, the reflections disappear when the reflected object is behind the camera. Here's an example :

Reflections when sphere in front of the camera

Reflection gradually getting smaller as I move pass the sphere

Once the sphere is totally behind, there's just a red plane, with no more reflections. I'm not looking for a complex answer, but just a heads up to help me fix the problem. If code is needed I'll gladly provided. Thanks in advance.
