vb .net reflection module search for a variable

WinForm solution written in VB .net. Using reflection from the Module MOD1 I want get/set public variable of Module MOD2. A strong constraint is to use just strings, as a command line interpreter would do. Is it possible? How to do that? I'm started from the ExecutingAssembly, than I selected the right Module, but here I have not found a way to get the value of a public variable herein declared. Thank You in advance.
