Reflection in Java - Is Performance bottleneck?

I'm using java reflection to figure out what action to be performed based on my custom annotation. I know it's a bad design to use java reflection to perform action and definitely going to hit badly, when the application grows. I wanted a generic solution, which could be handled instead of Java Reflection in Java.
