Understanding roles of 'Element' and 'TypeMirror' in `UnmodifiableCollection`

For the below given code,

How to identify TypeElement, ExecutableElement, VariableElement roles of javax.lang.model.element package?

How to identify DeclaredType, WildcardType, ExecutableType, MirrorType roles of javax.lang.model.type package?

Note: element & type is meta level facility, which is different from traditional reflection system
